The code is free. Help running it is what we sell.
Loams is fully open source under Apache-2.0. There is no open core and no paid edition: the engine and the control plane are open, and metering and billing are moving into the open repo now. Ostrium Labs, which leads the project, helps companies run Loams efficiently and reliably.
Four ways we can help.
Every engagement is scoped with you. There is no price list yet.
Infrastructure efficiency reviews
Spend less on the same workload.
- We look at your clusters, buckets, caches and query patterns.
- You get concrete changes to sizing, storage classes, WAL classes and hot tiers.
- It works whether you run Loams today or are weighing a move to it.
SLAs
Agreed targets for the deployments you depend on.
- Response and resolution times written down per severity.
- Covers self-hosted and bring-your-own-cloud deployments.
- Scope is agreed with you; nothing is implied by default.
Support plans
People who work on the engine, on your incidents.
- Help with upgrades, incidents, tuning and capacity planning.
- Fixes go upstream into the open repository, so everyone gets them.
Migration help
From several clusters to one bucket.
- Plans and runs moves from Elasticsearch, Qdrant, Kafka, Neo4j or Postgres.
- Uses the compatibility gateways, so your clients keep working during the move.
- Includes a rollback path and checks you can run yourself.
